He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?"
Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my
brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my
brother and sister and mother."  Matthew 12:48-50
Family Through Faith
What is missing?

Many people are going through life with a feeling something is missing.  Maybe
you’ve even said “there must be more to life than this!”   We believe God has an
incredible purpose for us which will fulfill the needs of our lives.  What is this
purpose?   God is building his kingdom through his church.

Everyone has a family.  Whether you like them or not each person had to have a
mother and a father.  Physically speaking family is a requirement of life.  But many
times our family can be a source of pain and not a source of fulfillment.

We believe becoming a follower of Jesus Christ and making him the lord of your life
makes you right with God.  Many churches and religious organizations share this belief
and spend great sums of time and money and sharing this truth. However, many miss
the greater purpose of salvation: God wants us to be a family!

God desires believers to be a family.  All of us come from different places in life.  God is
doing a remarkable work taking so many people from so many places and forming
something completely new!  What is he forming?

A new family through faith!

What does Family look like?

God has designed his family to be the picture of how families should be.  The research
shows most "unchurched" people find the church to be a place filled with hypocrisy and
judgment.  The truth is these people are often right.  God’s family should look much
different than the world it lives in, but it doesn’t.

We believe the family should be a local fellowship of believers who are all equals, who
are all encouraging each other through sharing the reality of their struggles with life
and sin, studying and applying the word of God, worshiping, praying, reaching the lost,
and who are active in their relationship with Christ.

It’s hard to be a family if the only time you spend with other believers is for an hour or
two once a week where we watch a worship concert and listen to a lecture.  There is
nothing wrong with these, but they don't bring us closer as the family God desires.  We
believe God has designed his family to infect the lives of each of the members.  This
means each member of the family belongs to the others and spends their lives
investing in each life in their fellowship.

This family is a living, breathing organism that isn’t perfect, never will be and won’t
pretend it is.  It is real people humbly living out a real faith in Jesus Christ together.

How do we meet?

If you attend one of our meetings you probably wouldn't think of it as "church."  We
believe since Christ paid the same price for each of us, each of us has the same value
to God and to the family.  This means we each have an active part to play when we
meet.  Our meeting is a gathering of active participants.  There is no worship leader or
pastor or church building.  We want God to be in charge and have freedom to move
however he wishes.  When we meet we usually do some or all of the following:

•        Eat a meal,
•        Pray for each other and the lost,
•        Seek God together,
•        Share how God has been working,
•        Sing songs of worship,
•        Give and receive encouragement
•        Read and discuss scripture
•        Take communion,
•        Share the gospel with the lost,
•        Give God freedom to do what he wants

Most of all we desire to bring glory and honor to the name of Jesus Christ and submit
to him.  If you want to check us out, use the contact us page to get in touch or click

Who are we?

To put it simply: We are simple followers of Christ

Most people miss out on the most basic point of the life, death and resurrection of
Jesus Christ:  We are a family!  Christ paid a high price for each person.  This means we
are all equals.  No matter your race, your bank account, where you live, who your
family is, or the things you have done whether good or bad; Jesus paid the same price
for each one of us. By His grace and forgiveness we can become a family through faith!

How are we different?
  • We believe the modern American style of church can hinder our ability to truly
follow Christ and become the family he desires.
  • We believe in a local fellowship of believers who share their life and walk
    together.
  • We believe the walk with Christ is relational. This relationship is expressed,
cultivated and brought to fruit in and with other believers.
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name,
he gave the right to become children of God—  children born not
of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but
born of God.                                                     ~John 1:12,13
